If you have a hankering for midnight margaritas but don't want to wake up the next morning with cotton mouth, we have the perfect compromise. Our margarita mocktail has all the flavor and fun of a traditional marg, but none of the booze.

Perfect Margarita Mocktail Recipe

We love a nonalcoholic margarita. This booze-free version of the classic is the perfect refreshing sipper any time of day.

Variations and Substitutions

No need to fret if you don't have orange syrup or homemade margarita mix on hand.

  • Combine 1 ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice, ½ ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice, ½ ounce of freshly squeezed OJ, and a ½ ounce of agave or simple syrup and shake in a cocktail shaker.
  • Muddle a jalapeño before shaking the cocktail for a spicy marg.
  • You can also muddle any fruit or berries in the shaker before adding ingredients for a fruity margarita.
  • For a frosty experience, add all the ingredients to a blender along with a cup and a half of ice. Your second step is to blend until smooth and then enjoy.
  • Skip the orange syrup and use freshly squeezed orange juice instead for a lighter nonalcoholic margarita. If you like yours sweeter, add extra agave or use simple syrup in its place.

Garnishes

Nothing is more classic than a margarita with a salt rim and lime wheel.

  • Use sugar instead of salt for your rim if you prefer your margaritas on the sweeter side.
  • Replace the salt with tajin spice for a spicier marg.
  • If you want a pop of color, swap your lime wheel for a lemon or orange wheel instead.
  • You can even use a colorful citrus ribbon or twist to top off your nonalcoholic margarita.

The Anytime Margarita

Whether it's midnight margaritas or a breakfast marg (why not?), our nonalcoholic margarita is truly the anytime, any day, any place margarita. Going to the beach? Margarita mocktail. Want something other than water to go with your lunch? Virgin margarita. We think you get the idea.
