Costco's pre-made foods are perfect for busy nights where you need something that's fast and tastes great. And there are so many different options, everyone in the family will have their favorites. What's better than serving up something the whole family will love, that only took minutes to put together? Nothing. Nothing is better than that, unless the fam does cleanup for you afterwards too.
1. Kirkland Signature Rotisserie Chicken
The warm rotisserie chicken is a tried-and-true staple from the Costco deli department. You can use it in so many different types of meals or enjoy it as-is for an easy protein. Pick one up next time you're in the meat department at Costco.
2. El Monterey Mexican Grill Taquitos, Chicken & Cheese
I'll never turn down a taquito, and Costco's frozen El Monterey Mexican Grill taquitos are nearly impossible to resist. Try them out next time you want something in between a meal and a snack. These are crowd-pleasers and will disappear soon after you take them out of the oven.
3. Kirkland Signature Beef Bulgogi (Korean BBQ)
Don't miss out on the beef bulgogi if your store offers it. It tastes best when fried up in a pan to get more caramelization and texture, but you can also cook it in the oven or air fryer. Serve it with rice and stir-fry veggies or make it into a Korean-style sandwich that will probably be one of the best homemade sandwiches you've ever made (speaking from experience).
These tasty morsels are filled with chicken and veggies, and they can be shared as an appetizer or enjoyed as a light meal. They're ready to eat after just 2 minutes in the microwave, which makes them perfect for those more hectic days.
5. Kirkland Signature Cooked Shrimp Cocktail
The shrimp cocktail from Costco is a great deal for a larger party, and they always taste fresh. These only require removing the lid on your part — so they're also extremely convenient. Pick up a tray in the seafood department.
Quick Tip
We know, the idea of "leftover shrimp" might be a stretch, but if you do find yourself with a few uneaten pieces, they freeze very well! Defrost overnight in the refrigerator, then throw them into a stir fry for another simple meal.
6. Veggies Made Great Frozen Muffins
If you haven't tried the Veggies Made Great frozen muffins yet, then add them to your next Costco list, because they're some of the best pre-made foods in the store. They come in sweet or savory flavors from double chocolate to broccoli cheddar, so they're perfect for whatever mood you're in. Microwave them for 35 seconds and enjoy a quick and easy treat.
For a lighter but just as filling option, grab the sandwich & salad combo in the deli section. You can get a fresh turkey or chicken sandwich that's made in-house with a caesar salad on the side. Yum!
8. Kasia’s Potato and Cheese Pierogi
Pierogies make for a delicious side dish or main event for a meal. Try the Kasia's potato and cheese variety sold at Costco, which are easy to cook in a skillet or boil in water and ready in just a few minutes.
9. Kirkland Signature Pre-Cooked Ribs
Near the rotisserie chicken, you'll find another ready-to-eat meat, the pre-cooked St. Louis ribs. You can buy them already warmed up so you can devour them as soon as you get home, or get them chilled so you can heat them at your convenience (and at a better price).
Don't sleep on the Kirkland Signature party wings. They come uncooked but pre-seasoned and are super easy to whip up in your air fryer or on the grill (we've personally done both options because these were a repeat buy). They're a low-key way to get in your protein and for a reasonable price, considering there's less work for you to do!
11. Motor City Pizza Co. Deep Dish Pizza
Don't forget about pizza! The Motor City Pizza Co. deep dish pizzas in the frozen aisle at Costco are no slouch and will definitely wow the crowd. Bake one in the oven for 18-21 minutes and prepare yourself for an awesome pizza party.
12. Kirkland Signature Chicken Pot Pie
Few foods are as comforting as a well-made chicken pot pie, and Costco has its recipe perfected. Just bake it in the oven for about 50-55 minutes for an easy and super satisfying meal the whole family will love. This is one of Costco's best prepared foods, so don't skip it!
13. Kirkland Signature Pre-Cooked Bacon
I enjoy bacon as much as the next meat-eating person, but I don't always enjoy how messy it is to cook. That's why the Kirkland pre-cooked bacon is such a great alternative. It cuts out a good chunk of the work, and it's ready in a matter of minutes in the microwave. Use it on a breakfast sandwich, in an egg scramble, or however you want!
If you like Costco's rotisserie chicken, try their homemade chicken noodle soup (which is made with that same chicken). It's perfect to warm up on a cold winter night or take to work for lunch. Just heat it up on the stove, and it's ready to go!
15. La Terra Fina 2-Pack Quiche
Quiche is one of those foods I wish I had more of in my life, so the Costco pre-made La Terra Fina quiches are a great option and are so good. They're in the refrigerated section, but you can freeze them to keep them for longer. Cook them in the oven for 25-35 minutes (depending on if you're cooking from frozen or not).
Quick Tip
Serve with Kirkland's Signature Pre-Cooked Bacon and a bagged salad for a quick, complete meal.
16. Kirkland Signature Stuffed Bell Peppers
I love a good stuffed pepper. But frankly, I don't always feel like making them myself. Thank goodness for Costco's six-pack of pre-made stuffed bell peppers! They cook for about 50-55 minutes in the oven and are a good healthy option (without requiring much work).
17. Sukhi’s Chicken Tikka Masala
Comforting and flavorful, Sukhi's Chicken Tikka Masala hits the spot every time. Pick up a 2-pack from the refrigerated section and give it a try! Serve it with rice and some naan bread for a complete meal that your family will devour.
18. La Boulangerie Smoked Ham & Swiss Cheese Pockets
If a food involves a flaky outer crust and a meaty, cheesy filling, I'm instantly sold. That's why these smoked ham & cheese pockets are a must-try for adults and kids alike. Easy to serve at a party or for a late-night snack. Also, they're SO good dipped in a honey mustard or thousand island dressing!
19. Kirkland Signature Chicken Street Tacos
Costco's chicken tacos are one of the best prepared food options they make. They're perfect to take to parties or to enjoy at home during a busy week. The best part: the kit includes all the fixings you'll need from the cheese to the sauce to the meat — all to be enjoyed in a tasty little tortilla. You can warm up the chicken however you want (even in the microwave) and enjoy it right away.
20. Mission Hill Bistro Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends
If you're craving BBQ but don't have time to get the grill or smoker going, the Mission Hill burnt ends are great AND pre-cooked, so you only need to pop them in the microwave for 5 minutes and enjoy, or you can fry them up in the pan. Either way, these smoky meat morsels will satisfy your palate.
21. Ajinomoto Chicken Fried Rice
Fried rice is still so yummy even when you make it at home, and Costco's chicken fried rice from Ajinomoto is as quick as tossing the bag into the microwave and cooking it for 3 minutes. Talk about an easy (and filling) lunch or dinner!
When you're in the mood for a true comfort meal, look no further than Costco's sizable shepherd's pie. Its delicious layers of potatoes, meat & veggies will fill you and your family up perfectly. Just bake it in the oven for about 40 minutes and serve hot!
23. Pierre Raw Stuffed Chicken Breasts, Cordon Bleu
For something a little different from your normal roasted chicken, the frozen chicken cordon bleu stuffed chicken breasts from Pierre will hit the spot. Bake these in your oven for 41-48 minutes until they're fully cooked, and enjoy your new dinnertime staple.
Quick Tip
Mix two tablespoons mayo, one teaspoon milk, and one teaspoon curry powder for the perfect drizzle or dipping sauce to accompany this chicken.
24. Kirkland Signature Stuffed Salmon
When you're in the mood for seafood, the stuffed salmon is worth a try. It comes out perfectly flakey when baked to the directions. The stuffing is filled with other seafoods, including shrimp, pollock, and imitation crab, plus a rice, cheese, and mayo combo for a super satisfying meal packed with protein and omega-3s.
25. Kirkland Signature Chicken Bakes
Costco's caesar chicken bakes are like giant Hot Pockets that taste way better. I sometimes get one right from their cafeteria and split it with my husband (they're huge!). But you can also buy them frozen, so you can enjoy them at home when the mood hits. Crispy and cheesy on the outside, flavorful and hot on the inside — it's the ideal comfort food!
